President Museveni is expected to inspect the three acres of land at Mengo which he bought for the members of Buganda Kingdom clan heads council.

This investigative website has exclusively learnt that the president is expected at Mengo in the coming month of June and according to the arrangement, the ceremony will start with prayers which will be presided over by Dr Stephen Kazimba Mugalu the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda.

The president is also expected to inspect the developmental projects taking place on the land like the teaching of modern farming practices where people go there and learn how to do urban agriculture on small pieces of land to grow vegetables.

The president is also expected to officially open the small building which they set up on the land which is going to house their offices including that of Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the Kabaka of Buganda.

“We are expecting the president to launch the building of our promised commercial building because the plan is already in place and approved by the building body and KCCA. The president promised us that the work will be done by the UPDF engineering Brigade,” one of the clan heads reveals.

The development of the president visiting the said land comes at the time when clan heads who are in the custody of the documents concerning the said land declined to surrender them to their boss the Kabaka as he directed them recently.

Omuttaka Ssalongo Augustine Kizito Mutumba the speaker of the Kingdom clan heads council and also the Kkobe clan head confirmed the development and explained that a resolution was passed in their council to present the said land title and other documents to Kabaka once he recovers since they received the gift from President Museveni when he was away receiving treatment.

Sources in Kabaka’s office said that the King ordered with immediate effect to stop any further developments on the land until the said documents are presented to him so that he guides on the next course of action.

However, this website authoritatively reports that the said documents have not been delivered to the Kabaka because the people who are in whose custody these documents are want to deliver them themselves to the King and not through Mutumba whom they accuse of being premier Charles Peter Mayiga’s henchman.

They claim that Mutumba wants to take their land title to Buganda Land Board, a kingdom limited company which is responsible for regulating and managing kingdom land

Both Mayiga and Kabaka were very bitter with a section of clan heads who met Museveni without their authorization and threatened to take disciplinary action against them.
