Ono Bwino can exclusively report that President Museveni has started the process of making some changes in the State House
According to highly placed sources, the changes will be announced either before he is sworn in come May 2026 or after but the process has already created panic among State House staff.
Among the prominent names which are likely to be affected is Col Edith Nakalema the presidential Adviser on Anti-Corruption and also the head of the State House Investors Protection Unit.
Sources said that iron lady is likely to be redeployed to UPDF and will be working under the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC) which is the commercial arm of the army as her process to officially retire from the army is being handled.
Other sources said that the President is also thinking about deploying Col Nakalema in Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) to clean up corruption in that government agency which is responsible on handling local and international investors.
Information from State House corridors shows that Col Nakalema who was the first commandant of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit is likely to be replaced with Jane Barekye the State House comptroller who is also the brain behind presidential skills initiative.
Sources divulged that the President is thinking of replacing Barekye with Hajat Madina Naham the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Director for Finance and Administration.
