Club Silk was a bang hangout for early 2000s big boys with the real meaning of night life. It was owned by Elvis Ssekyanzi, son of Gordon Wavamuno, a businessman, entrepreneur and qualified sound engineer.

The club which was located in Industrial Area closed in 2016 after one of the shareholders Kavuma pulled out after he ran bankrupt and Elvis was sent on a borrowing spree.

A reliable source however reveals that Elvis had a lineup of women and his final blow was when his wife now ex, Dr. Juliet Evelyn Bataringaya found out about his relationship with the then accountant the late Macrine Mudondo alias Tyra Macrine, a former member of the obsession’s girl group.

Elvis by nature is quiet. He however had that playboy attitude about him.  Whenever you sauntered in Club Silk on one of those active theme nights, girls were known to whisper:  Oh him! He’s slept with everyone!”

True or not, Women would laugh — and then confess: yes, they had too.  They spoke of him with great affection and even admiration.

Elvis Sekyanzi wasn’t necessarily great-looking, super-successful or rich.  He however had the charisma and women flocked in droves.

“His wife was from a wealthy family and had that pride a married man never wants in his home. The situation went out of control when found out he was dating his accountant and she filed for a divorce. It was a bitter situation that mentally tormented him also saw the two split their wealth,” the source revealed

“The accountant was a hard nut to crack. She had a very poor working relationship with the suppliers. You know how women spend so Sekyanzi and his women-juggling business turned into a bad deal that cost him Club Silk,” source added

Source adds that Elvis was not a good manager. “He would protect the artist at the expense of the clients who used to spend over 5 million in his bar for example if a client in the bar touched Bebe cool’s wife, Bebe would fight immediately and, in this case, it was the client to be thrown outside there and then,” Source said.
