Thirteen years since Lydia Draru confessed to murdering former Army Commander, Maj. Gen. James Kazini, she is set to walk down the aisle.
This newspaper has impeccably established that Draru has found a new love of her life since she was freed from Luzira prison on January 12, 2021.
The two love birds are now in the final stages of legalizing their marriage by saying I do. Draru tells her intimate friends that it is high time she settled in marriage and bore children.
At the time she murdered Kazini, the two lovers had not been blessed with a child.
The light-skinned Draru wants to keep her wedding a top secret. A few family members have so far been notified.

On November 10, 2009, the world received with shock the news of Kazini’s murder. Draru confessed to murdering Kazini by stabbing in self defence. On September 31, 2011, she was sentenced to 14 years in jail by Justice Monica Mugyenyi. She was released in 2021 after a remission of four years for good conduct.
