Exclusively speaking to this website, maverick lands junior minister and also the founding partner of the famous Kampala Associated Advocates (KAA) Dr Sam Mayanja has rubbished allegations making rounds on social media that he is fighting to meet Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the Kabaka of Buganda to apologise to him over the demeaning and insulting statements he has been making against him.
Online news website claim that Mayanja made the statement when he was meeting locals in Buikwe district who were threatened to be evicted from their land illegally after assuring them that his boss President Museveni is going to make sure that they are not evicted and that he secures land titles for them because they are on public land and the laws of the land permit them to secure land titles for their land.
Mayanja was quoted telling the public that he is regretting the statements and insults he has been making against Kabaka as a person and his office adding that he is ready to meet him, kneel down and apologise to him and once he accepts his apology, he will then report to him the bad people in his kingdom who are using his name to grab land and money from his poor subjects.
However, minister Mayanja declare the said news as fake and misleading.

“I’m told that a one Sseryazi reporting from Mukono is the one initiated that fake news. I’m still investigating, if I discover that he was bribed to mislead the public, I will ask the Inspector General of Government (IGG) to take legal action against him,” Mayanja said.
He explained that he cannot apologize to Kabaka because inside his heart he knows very well that he is speaking the truth, and he can stand on it even if he is taken to courts of law as the Kabaka threatened recently.
“I don’t believe in the way he runs our cultural institution; he is very selfish and he is being used by bad people in that Bulange building who call themselves ab’ebitiibwa to weaken Buganda. I cannot accept history to write that I was part of them and I supported them,” Mayanja said
He added that as a born-again person, he cannot kneel down before a fellow human being insisting that he only kneels before God. He revealed that on several occasions, Kabaka Mutebi has been sending his henchmen and women to compromise him and lure him to their side.
Mayanja said that when he started authoring news articles in both English and in local news papers, Kabaka’s henchmen approached him and gave him an invite to have a cup of tea with their boss at his palace which he declined insisting that he did not believe in having a cup of tea with people.
“ The reason why I have grown to this age is because of self preservation, I don’t just take tea or eat from everywhere,” Mayanja said.
Mayanja’s statements come months after Kabaka petitioned Museveni asking him to take disciplinary action against him over his frequent personal attacks on him.
