The Chief Magistrates Court at Entebbe has issued Criminal Summons against controversial land broker Muhammad Kamoga to answer multiple criminal charges of fraud in regards to forging of a lawyer’s practicing certificate, lawyer’s signature and stamp.
According to Criminal Summons issued by Entebbe Magistrates Edgar Tusiime Tebeyita, the accused person (Kamoga) is supposed to appear before him on September 29, 2029.
“You are hereby commanded by the Uganda government to appear in this court on the 29th day of September 2025 at 9am or soon thereafter as the case can be heard herein fail not,” reads the court document dated September 24, 2025.
The court said that the summons were issued on the application of the Director of Public Prosecutions (prosecutor).
Kamoga of the defunct M/s Kamoga property consultants is also expected to plead to several criminal charges regarding forgery of lawyer Lorna Nkamwesiga’s signature and stamp.
It is alleged that in 2021 at Wakiso District Lands Office, Kamoga with intent to deceive, forged a practicing certificate for an advocate dated 25 February 2020 purporting it to have been issued to Advocate Nkamwesiga Lorna whereas not.
The state contends that Kamoga had purported that the said practising certificate was also signed and stamped by Advocate Nkamwesiga Lorna whereas not.
Prosecution alleges that on May 7, 2021 at Wakiso Lands office, Kamoga with intent to deceive, forged a transfer form dated May 7 2021 in respect to land in Busiro on Block 425 purporting to have been signed by Advocate Nkamwesiga Lorna as a witness whereas not.
It is alleged that Kamoga forged transfer forms for over 200 acres of land purporting them to have been signed and stamped by Advocate Nkamwesiga Lorna as a witness whereas not.
Kamoga is facing multiple charges of forgery, obtaining registration by false pretense, uttering false documents, unlawful eviction and malicious damage to property regarding fraudulent acquisition of a 200-acre land at Garuga-Bukaaya in Entebbe, Wakiso District.
The court summons came hardly two weeks after the accused land broker failed to turn up to court after his lawyer reported ill-health.
On July 15th, 2025, the Supreme Court dismissed an application in which the land broker had sought to stop the prosecution, citing a pending appeal.
He is accused of forging the signatures of businessman Peter Bibangamba on transfer forms for land at Bukaya, Entebbe; fraudulently acquiring registration; uttering false documents; unlawful eviction and malicious damage to property.
Kamoga’s legal troubles stem from allegations that he used forged transfer forms to unlawfully transfer land ownership for over 200 acres of land from Peter Bibangamba into his names.
Kamoga, whose name has consistently appeared in several land fraudulent dealings, is well-known for engaging legal gimmicks, filing frivolous complaints against judicial officers hearing the fraud cases against him and recycling applications which have already been determined by the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court all in a bid to delay his criminal trial.
It is alleged that Kamoga’s fears stem from the fact that the hearing of the criminal cases will surely expose his fraudulent land dealings and character contrary to the false image of a genuine land broker he has for too long depicted in public
