Outgoing Kampala City Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago has confirmed the ownership of a multibillion mansion on Mutundwe Hill which boarders Kampala City and Wakiso district

In his handover ceremony speech, Lukwago said that KCCA has been paying him about Shs2m as housing allowance because he was stopped from accessing the residential home of the Lord Mayor which is situated at Nakasero Kampala.

He said that he is leaving KCCA with his head up because there is no complaint that he has grabbed someone’s land or public property even though he fought hard to save public properties from mafias.

He thanked the people of Kampala and informed them that he is going to retire at his newly finished mansion in Mutungo and those who wish to catch up with him should find him there or at his private law firm which is Lukwago and Company Advocates situated at Nakasero a Kampala suburbs.

Lukwago assured President Museveni that even though he has exited public office, he is going to remain vocal on the struggle against his government and fight for the Rule of Law.

He added that he is also going to concentrate on building and cementing the political structures of his People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) where he is the current president.

Ono Bwino has established that Lukwago is retiring as one of the richest Baganda politicians in the country and he owns buildings a long Kampala-Masaka Road, a farm and shares in one of the private hospitals a long Gayaza road.
