This mighty investigative website can exclusively report that National Unity Platform (NUP) Deep State chaired by their president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) summoned Kawempe Division mayor Emmanuel Sserunjogi Oweddembe for a meeting to discuss his political future in regards to the agenda of his party.
The meeting was held at Magere the home of Bobi Wine where Sserunjogi was advised to abandon his political ambition of contesting against Fred Nyanzi Ssentamu, the elder brother to Bobi Wine and his younger brother Michael Mukwaya (Mickie Wine) for the party ticket in Kawempe South.
The party has not yet taken a decision on Nyanzi and Mukwaya concerning who to give the party ticket for Kawempe South come 2026 because they are still assessing the ground after realising that Nyanzi, the first potential candidate received a hostile reception from the voters that is why Bobi Wine decided to bring his young brother Mickie to also test the ground.
Even though Sserunjogi is tested and only wants the party to support him to contest for Kawempe South or to help retain his position as Kawempe Division mayor, Bobi Wine and other members advised him that the party is ready to support him in Busiro North.

Sserunjogi was told that the party is not going to support the incumbent legislator Paul Nsubuga in Busiro North who they accuse of placing the party in bad light by involving himself in criminal activities that resulted into him being charged in courts of law and remanded to prison for stealing a phone from a shop in downtown Kampala.
Nsubuga was also accused of forging the academic papers he used to contest for the position he currently holds but was saved by the Court of Appeal which dismissed the election petition instituted against him in 2021.
Nsubuga is also accused of fraudulently mortgaging his mother’s home to moneylenders without her knowledge. With all this dirt on Nsubuga’s skin, voters accused NUP of giving them a crook to represent them in parliament.
He was further accused of not being loyal to the party leadership after they received allegations that he is among the opposition legislators who have been picking money from President Museveni’s government covertly allegations he vehemently denied insisting that he is loyal to the party leadership.
Sserunjogi was told in the Magere meeting that he is the only candidate who can save them from losing the area to National Resistance Movement’s Dennis Galabuzi who was defeated in the 2021 parliamentary elections given that he even owns a farm and a home in the area.
However, sources within NUP revealed to this website that Bobi Wine is sacrificing Nsubuga to save his brothers and friend Umar Magala who was defeated by Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola in the party primaries for Kawempe North by elections .
Sources claim that after losing in the primaries, Nalukoola was advised to compensate Magala, a blue eyed boy to Muslim titular leader Prince Dr Kassim Nakibinge Kakungulu the money he spent in the primaries which he accepted.
Magala was also promised that the party will support him on any political position in 2026. He is currently eying the position of Kawempe Division mayor yet Bobi Wine doesn’t want a fight between Magala and incumbent Sserunjogi.
Even though former Kawempe North legislator Hajji Latif Ssebaggala is also interested in the position of Kawempe Division mayor, and he has already opened offices in the area to mobilize for support for him, the party is not ready to support him because of his political history.
