Senior Presidential Advisor in charge of security and defence Gen Proscovia Nalweyisa has warned junior presidential advisors and assistants to stop using social media obscenely to challenge.
Particularly, Gen Nalweyiso singled out Yiga Kisakyamukama, the presidential assistant in charge of service delivery and also Gomba district assistant Resident District Commissioner, Jennifer Nakangubi alias Full Figure the presidential advisor on youth and artists’ Affairs and Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye the senior presidential advisor on political affairs and also the head of the Office of the National Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM)
Speaking to Star TV journalist Jackson Kisuubi, Nalweyiso said that behaviour exhibited by the said government officials places President Museveni’s name in bad light leaving people to wonder how he can appoint such people to help him with the running of the country.
“Many people have been calling me on the phone asking me whether there is any disciplinary action that can be taken against those people. Yes, it is true all of them are government officials and according to government code of conduct they are committing an offence of abusing people because it is not allowed,” Nalweyiso said.
She warned them that with immediate effect, they should stop using social media platforms to abuse people.
He pleaded with the public to avail to her evidence which can be used against them during the course of disciplining them.
She also advised them that if they do not want to leave social media, they should use it well by speaking with evidence otherwise if they don’t have evidence, they should resign from public office and concentrate on vulgarism on the social media.
Nalweyiso made the statements days after Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) lifted the suspension which they had slapped on Full Figure because of using obscene language on the television.
Full Figure exchanged obscene words with the newly elected Masaka city woman Member of Parliament Justine Nameere.
Namyalo has been also been sighted on social media in obscene exchanges with Kisakyayesu who accused her of being corrupt.
Kisakyayesu also recently exchanged obscene words with Hallen Seku, the Commissioner for National Secretariat for Patriotism when the duo was fighting over Museveni’s money deals.
Kisakyayesu is also remembered for undressing on social media and using obscene words against the person of Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the Kabaka of Buganda and his premier Charles Peter Mayiga.
He later admitted his mistake and apologized.
