The current economic crunch in the country has not spared the mighty in the political ladder. As you read this, former Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga’s earlier efforts of establishing a university have stalled.
The construction works of the university complex in Nakawa, Kampala has since been abandoned due to dwindled finances. Kadaga started the construction works when she was still the Speaker, but since she lost the slot, her project has hit a dead-end.
Kadaga had hoped to have the university in operation in the current term if she had won the speaker slot. She had also hoped to generate additional funding from well-wishers and partners. But ever since she lost the number three slot in the country, most of her former allies and partners have since abandoned her. This explains why most of the projects she hoped to achieve are now abandoned.
