Early this year, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi the Kabaka of Buganda secretly sneaked his beloved son who is also the crown prince of Buganda Kingdom Prince Richard Ssemakookiro out of the country.
This investigative website can exclusively report that Ssemakookiro is currently studying in one of the most outstanding and expensive schools in Kenya and Kabaka Mutebi always checks on him through phone calls or through friends.
Last week Kabaka Mutebi sent a special message to his longtime friend Raila Odinga which he sent to him through flamboyant city lawyer Apollo Nelson Makubuya who is a chief palace advisor.
Highly placed palace sources told this website that in his message, Kabaka officially informed Raila that his son is in Kenya studying and also invited him to attend his 70th birthday celebration which is expected to start this month.
Before he was taken to Kenya, Ssemakookiro first studied at Kampala International School (KISU) before joining Budo Junior School where he was studying in the same class with Omutaka Kalibbala the head of Ensenene (Grasshopper) clan and other children of clan heads in Buganda.
During his time at Budo, security was tightened because of his presence and grandchildren of other top Ugandan citizens including those of Chief Justice Owiny Dollo and President Museveni.
When he was suffering from illness, sources claim that Kabaka Mutebi instructed his brother Prince David Kintu Wasajja to take care of his son and plans are underway to take him to England to study from there just like his father and grandfathers.
Sources also confirmed to this website that Ssemakookiro is expended to attend his father’s birthday celebration.
