Ono Bwino can exclusive report that Kampala minister and also the Kampala Central Division National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate has fired stingy Amina Lukanga from her campaign drive resurrecting their old war.

Lukanga who is the NRM candidate for Kampala district Woman Member of Parliament has been campaigning with minister Kabanda and other party candidates who include Salim Uhuru the Kampala Central Division candidate, Moses Kizito the Kampala Lord Mayor candidate and others, but a few weeks back, the minister told other candidates to also contribute some money to run the campaigns.

Only Uhuru responded by contributing millions of shillings to fuel cars, buy water and facilitate the team.

When Lukanga was asked for the money, she said that she was still waiting for funds which the party secretariat promised to give all the party candidates.

“The minister spared Kizito because he was frustrated by the decision of the party chairperson (Museveni) who channeled the money to run the party campaigns from his Kyambogo national office where he works under Hajjat Namyalo to the secretariat at Kyadondo road. He therefore has no money for campaigns and he is depending on handouts from Kabanda and Uhuru,” a source said.

He added that because Lukanga knows very well that city tycoons are funding the minister’s campaigns, she thought that she was going to benefit from her without knowing that she is in the minister’s bad books.

He explained that when the minister was fighting to remove Suzan Kushaba from Owino market and her friends from other government markets in the city, Lukanga who was then the city Resident City Commissioner (RCC) was fighting her and even tried to frustrate her because of the benefits she was getting from Kushaba who is also silently contesting against Kabanda.

Lukanga accused the minister of influencing her transfer to remote upcountry districts which frustrated her political plans on contesting in Kampala city to the extent that she nearly lost the NRM flag and struggled to defeat her opponents who were being supported by the minister.

This website has established that Lukanga has found a new home and she is currently campaign with Fred Ruhindi the NRM Nakawa East candidate.

Sources allege that he is the one funding her campaigns as she awaits the release of the money from the secretariat.

The development comes at a time when NRM party leadership are in last touches preparing for their presidential candidate’s campaigns in Kampala city before the end of this year.
