After Ono Bwino online ran a story a few weeks to the elections revealing how musician cum politician Mathias Walukagga made a deal with Busiro South MP aspirant Emmanuel Magoola to pay him if he is to support him to win the election, netizens have roasted him over the deal.

In his own declaration, while chatting with some bloggers, Mathias Walukagga confirmed the words of this website when he revealed that indeed they agreed with Magoola that he has to pay him for his support so that he recovers the money he spent to get the NUP party ticket.

Ono Bwino reported that during their secret meeting, before Walukagga endorsed Magoola, one of the issues that dominated their negotiations was, Walukagga set a condition that to support Magoola, he had to pay him at least Shs300m because he has spent a lot of money to secure the party ticket, print posters and to hire lawyers to defend him before the Electoral Commission and later in court.

In a video clip circulating on Social Media, Walukagga said, “I made an agreement with Mr. Magoola to give him my resources because by the time he came in after my cancelation, I had used my own resources and power to level the ground and build structures. It is these structures that have helped him win and protect his votes.”

“On top of that I’ve been campaigning for him because I promised him that I was going to use my power and resources to help him win so that once he wins, he will repay me. I told him if you don’t win the elections, you don’t pay me, if you win the election you have to pay me. That was our agreement. We computed the money and that is what he has to pay me,” he boasted.

John Israel Tusuubira said, “This is bad, how can corruption end, if the aspiring leaders are already corrupt.”

Justice hunter said, “they should arrest both of them and we have another by-election. these are dealers not servants! shame on nup and our leaders for backing this illegality! they fooled voters.”

Ivan Nsubuga noted, “But somehow people convinced themselves that he was a credible candidate.”

Justine Kusemererwa said, “So now the constituency can confirm that they will have no development in the next 5 years. So shameful.”

Sarah BeNice, “For anyone who didn’t know that becoming an MP in today’s Uganda is the most lucrative business, you now have it. Rise up and stand for change. Just cancel MPs.”

Ainamani Precious Moreen, “Walukaga is an idiot. We need a by-election here.”

Davido Dronyi said, “You have now lost credibility Mathias , you do not have an adviser? You confirm you are in it for the money not the service.”

Mr Hashtag🇺🇬 wrote, “Now look at the kind of politician NUP Was fronting. We did what he is doing now as kids in primary school politics. “I will support you as the mess prefect so you can get me double plates. Such nonsense man.”

Lulu said, “NUP is now trading in voters!! Mama Uganda!!”
