PLE Results: Here Are The Top 270 Primary Schools Based On Their Division One PLE Performance For 2024…

This week, Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) released the Primary Leaving Exams (PLE) results for 2024.

A total of 797,444 candidates from 14.883 centers (schools) registered for PLE in 2024 compared to 749,347 in 2023. Of this number, 524,025 (65.7%) from 11,451 centres were Universal Primary Education (UPE) beneficiaries while 273,419 (34.3%) of the candidates from 3,432 centres were Non UPE.

722,730 candidates passed the 2024 PLE exams with the boys outshining the girls with 45,203 boys(compared to 39,098 girls) passing in division one, 192,546 (compared to 205,043 girls) in division two, 71,951(compared to 93,333 girls) in division three and 36,049 (compared to 39,507 girls) in division four.

The Minister for Education and Sports who also doubles as the First Lady Janet Museveni disclosed that selection of S1 students will take place next week on January 30 and 31.

She also announced that the first term for the new S1 students will commence on February 17, 2025.
