John Mary Ssebuufu the Executive Secretary for Human Resource and Administration has saved his boss Ssalongo Erias Lukwago the Lord Mayor of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) from being humiliated by a female councilor who stormed his office to physically fight him.

Furious Lubaga Division female councillor Faridah Nakabugo was intercepted when entering the office of the Lord Mayor claiming that she was looking for an explanation why Omuloodi is moving around Kampala and authoring reporters which intended to damage her political career.

“Ssebuufu, leave me alone. I want Lukwago to explain to me why he is slandering me that I have benefited a lot from Busega market and that I own most of the stalls in the market. He is spoiling my votes in Bukomansimbi (where she is going to stand as a woman legislator),” Nakabugo said.

Even though Lukwago was following whatever was going on, he didn’t moved out of the meeting he was engaged in at the mayor’s parlour until Ssebuufu pleaded with Nakabugo not to create a scene at the Lord Mayor’s office. She later succeeded in compromising her to move out so that their grieves are settled outside.

“ Let us go and settle this issue at our political desk (where councillors sit to discuss city and national politics), please Naka,” Ssebuufu pleaded.

As Nakabugo accepted the plea and moved out, Lukwago was also ending his engagement and majestically moved to his office as his security was observing whatever was going around their boss’ office.

Lukwago’s team accuses Nakabugo of being among the councillors being bribed by controversial city businessman Hamis Kiggundu to frustrate Lukwago’s report which recommended the demolition of properties Kiggundu put along Nakivubo water channel.

Nakabugo, a councillor on the National Unity Platform (NUP) is also accused of having a personal misunderstanding with Lukwago which resulted from the 2021 mayorship political campaign, she campaigned against Lukwago and supported Nabillah Naggayi Ssempala.
