Paul Agaba one of the senior publicists at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has clarified that fired authority bosses did not snub current Executive Director Hajat Sharif Buzeki’s end of year staff party.
In a phone call conversation with Ono Bwino on Sunday morning, Agaba explained that the party was organized for only the current staff not former staff.
He insisted that the fired Executive Director Dr. Dorothy Kisaka and her deputy Eng David Luyimbazi were not invite.
Agaba’s explanation was further confirmed by Daniel Muhumuza Nuweabine the KCCA Spokesperson who disclosed that Kisaka and Luyimbazi were not invited at the City Hall party.
“Even the ministers, Hajat Minsa Kabanda and her deputy Christopher Kabuye Kyofatogabye didn’t attend. So, it is not true that we sent invitation cards to former staff as you reported,” Agaba said
Buzeki used the end of year to announce that President Yoweri Museveni’s government had released billions of monies to compensate people who lost their properties in the deadly Kitezi landfill disaster who have been threatening to demonstrate over the delay to pay them.
She also directed all Division town Clerks to pay salaries and wages of all service providers who have helped them in running the city affairs and promised to continue changing their working conditions.
Buzeki was appointed as the KCCA top technical boss after Museveni fired Kisaka and Luyimbazi and recommended their prosecution on charges of neglect and causing death and loss of properties after the Kitezi landfill disaster.
They are waiting for their trial to begin after they were committed to the Criminal Division of the High Court.
