Exclusively speaking to this investigative website, Kampala senior minister Minsa Kabanda has revealed that very soon, she is going to announce the date to launch a group of youths who she is going to use to mobilize support for her, provide security to her and her campaign managers and also protect her win in the coming 2026 elections.
Minister Kabanda is planning to contest for the position of Kampala Central legislator to replace Muhammad Nsereko who declared that he is not coming back but he is instead going to contest against Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) for the highest office on the land.
However, to secure the NRM flag, Kabanda has to contest against a number of people in the party including her longtime political enemy Suzan Kushaba.
She has already boasted that Kushaba is nothing in Kampala and that she has no time to waste on her because she is putting her efforts on the elections organized by Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama the chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

Kabanda boasted that she is not scared of the National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya who has also declared interest to contest on the same seat.
She divulged that like Kushaba, Rubongoya is not known in Kampala and they are seen as foreigners in the city while for her, she was born and bred in Kampala city which means that she knows all the problems affecting the people of Kampala.
“ I heard that they have egaali ( groups of youths organized to fight and protect the victory of NUP candidates), but I can assure you Rubongoya should not be tempted to bring his boys to Kampala central because I am the commander of ‘egaali’ in the city. I was born and grew up in Kisenyi ghettos, I know all those boys because they have been voting for me as their councillor at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Council,” she said.
She revealed that she is looking for a big open place where she is going to launch her ‘egaali’ since she has a big number of youths who are ready to face off with Rubongoya’s egaali.

Kira Municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda revealed that it is very difficult to carry out political rallies in Kampala city and Wakiso district without those youths providing you with security since your competitors use them to frustrate your political campaigns which resulted in defeat.
However, Rubongoya claims that the youths in the ‘egaali’ are trained to be disciplined. He advised their political competitors not to be scared of them.
