Bukoto Central Member of Parliament who was also aspiring for the office of the president general of the Democratic Party (DP) Richard Ssebamala has challenged the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi and the entire National Unity Platform (NUP) leadership not to fight against the new Amendments on the Administration of Parliament Act.
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) through his alleged X handle assigned his blue-eyed boy also the Kasambya county Member of Parliament David Kabanda to spear head the process of Amending the Act so that his Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) takeover the position with immediate effect.
The declaration resulted from the condemnation Ssenyonyi made against Muhoozi’s action of ordering the kidnapping of the former Kampala city Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago and posting of his humiliating pictures on his X Handle.
Kabanda also assigned Buyaga county legislator Denis Namara to execute the assignment and on Wednesday, he wrote to the Clerk to Parliament asking for leave to bring the said amendments.

In the said Amendments, Namara wants all opposition and independent MPs be allowed to participate in choosing the LOP instead of the leadership of the largest opposition party in parliament as it is currently.
Ssebamala boasted that there is nothing that is going to stop the passing of the Amendments noting that whatever Gen Muhoozi posts on his X happens.
“The other time I was attacked because of the statement I made in the media that Gen Muhoozi is more powerful than Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu) but it is the truth. We should accept that currently, Muhoozi is the one with State power and he can do anything he wants,” Ssebamala said.
He added that Ssenyonyi and NUP leadership should just surrender the Office of the Leader of Opposition in parliament because since 2017 when Bobi Wine joined active politics, they have been telling the public that they are not concerned about political offices but want to concentrate on fighting President Museveni’s government.
He noted that Bobi Wine and other NUP leaders hid in that slogan to fight seasoned opposition politicians Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, Medard Lubega Ssegona, Erias Lukwago and a number of others
“NUP fronted a candidate who contested against Lukwago and defeated him. I have seen them condemning Lukwago’s arrest and all the troubles he is going through, I am sure if Lukwago was still a Lord Mayor of Kampala city, he wouldn’t have been arrested the way he was,” Ssebamala said.
He insisted that Bobi Wine’s leadership style has weakened the struggle against Museveni because they keep on branding fellow opposition leaders’ as moles instead of rallying them to join hands to fight and takeover the country’s leadership.
“Even me, they branded me a mole, what will I lose when I decide to join President Museveni or Gen Muhoozi’s group? But the opposition feel my absence because I helped them to defeat former vice president Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi,” Ssebamala boasted.
