Rajab Bukenya commonly known as Rasta Man Mulyakimu a celebrated National Unity Platform (NUP) grassroot mobilizer (foot soldier) and also a political talk show caller has exclusively revealed to this investigative website that he has crossed to the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF).
“Now you’re talking to Rasta Man Mulyakimu, Dr Besigye is my president and Erias Lukwago my Lord Mayor in Kampala. Bobi Wine and his people have betrayed us, our friends are rotting in prison, some have lost their lives, and jobs but those promising us a new Uganda are already enjoying life with their families,” Mulyakimu said.
He admitted that he was assigned by his new bosses at PFF to recruit all disgruntled foot soldiers who are ready to work with them to fulfil their political goals to join them.

Bobi Wine became furious when foot soldiers accused Nyanzi of fronting NRM and President Museveni’s leaning candidate against them yet they have been on the ground working hard so as to secure the party ticket in the coming 2026 general elections.
“After 2021 general elections, Bobi Wine and Nyanzi told us to built support on the ground, secure other requirements like academic papers after he promised us that we will be the first to be given the opportunity for a party ticket. But now, Nyanzi is smuggling his people who paid him money to out compete us on the ticket and he is being defended by his brother Bobi Wine, they can’t tell us that this is a family political party,” another foot soldier said.
The fight worsened when Nyanzi smuggled Ronald Ssemaganda, the Lubaga Division councillor representing Namugoona and appointed him the Busiro North Chief Kunga mobilizer replacing Bush Kalungi.
Foot soldiers claim that Nyanzi is smuggling Ssemaganda in to front him as the party candidate in Busiro north because he has already paid him money which they claim is among the billions of shillings released by Museveni to weaken the NUP in Kampala city and Buganda in general.
“ We know Ssemaganda is using Janet Museveni’s money which she released through that Greemen organisation claiming that they are helping poor women in Kampala financially especially in Lubaga Division. In 2012, NRM’s Musa Mbazira paid Ssemaganda a lot of money to compromise NUP councillors to betray their candidate who was standing for the position of Division speaker and overwhelmingly voted for him, Nyanzi thinks that we are stupid,” a furious foot soldier said.
They further claim that after pocketing Ssemaganda’s money, Nyanzi assured him that Bobi Wine cannot stop him from getting the ticket because he is not happy with the current legislator Paul Nsubuga
But foot soldiers are claiming that Nyanzi is bitter with Nsubuga because he declined to take his proposal of sharing his salary as MP so as to help him to secure the party ticket.
Nsubuga told Nyanzi that he also has a lot of debts and other financial troubles which he needs to settle off.
Foot soldiers claim that in the meeting which was attended by Sarah Nassimbwa, Nsubuga told Nyanzi that he has built the ground and he is very sure that he has performed well and the party’s electoral commission will give him the ticket
“Surprisingly Bobi Wine knows very well about whatever is going on, we told him and his only response was that the ticket will be determined by the supporters on ground. Which ground when his brother is threatening us that those without money should remain mobilizing for those with money! We shall not accept that,” a foot soldier said.
He blasts Bobi Wine for thinking that the overalls with pips which they give them will compromise their vision of taking the country’s leadership while him and his friends are enriching themselves by building houses, buying cars, taking their children to international schools and legalising their marriages.
This website has established that Mulyakimu was paid Shs3m cash immediately after declaring his transfer to PFF. He was added another Shs5m to recruit more foot soldiers and they have assured him that PFF will support their candidature once they join them.
Kira Municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda who is also the PFF spokesperson recently disclosed that they don’t have candidates to front in the coming elections. He called welcomed all those who are ready to contest to join them.
However, Mulyakimu defended himself against allegations that he was paid to join PFF explaining that he took a decision after being betrayed by his former bosses at NUP.
“ For us as foot soldiers we know the target is Nyanzi and we will make sure that he does not take any political office through elections. That man is very corrupt,” another source said.
In one of the recent meetings at the NUP headquarters at Makerere Kavule, Bobi Wine asked foot soldiers to be very discipline. He explained to them that whenever they misuse their social media platforms and other party gatherings to abuse and humiliate their party leaders, the Burden turns on him that he is the one commanding them to do so.
Sources said that Bobi Wine is under pressure from his family and party leaders who want him to take action against foot soldiers who are abusive and humiliate his elder brothers Nyanzi and Eddy Yawe plus some party leaders.
