Celebrated veteran sports journalist also the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Stars Sports awards Isaac Mukasa has led the ten years celebrations of awarding best sports giants in the country.

Celebrated veteran sports journalist also the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Stars Sports awards Isaac Mukasa has led the ten years celebrations of awarding best sports giants in the country.

Last month, the best of best sports individuals who performed excellently in different sports disciplines were awarded with cash money and accolades from the main initiative supposer the forte bet.

The awarding ceremony was held at Nanjing restaurant in Kololo Kampala city with Resty Namugema representing Forte bet Uganda.

Husna Kukundakwe was awarded the best in Swimming after excelling in the just concluded Common Wealth Games which were held in Glasgow Scotland where she won silver medal in the 100 meters back style and her award was picked by Irene Nabisenke.

Allan Asiimwe another Para Olympian was awarded as the best in July for Archery after winning gold medal in the African Archery Championship which was held in Algeria.

The 3×3 Ladies basketball team was awarded the best in basketball discipline for the month of July after claiming silver medal in the just concluded Common Wealth Games which were held in Glasgow Scotland.

It was the first silver medal ever won by Uganda in basketball at the Commonwealth Games.

Hassan Alawi was the fourth athlete to be awarded. Alawi a motorsport driver was awarded as the best driver for the month of July in motorsport after winning the Soroti and Katakwi rally where he defeated veteran Moses Lumala and Jonas Kansiime.

The long sports achiever award went to Catherine Adipo who is a retired referee.

Adipo was the first female referee in East and Central Africa to be given a FIFA badge.

Rasty Namugema, the assistant media manager of Real Stars Award thanked the media for their support towards these awards.

Mukasa, the former Buikwe South Member of Parliament thanked the sponsors for their funding towards these awards.
