National Unity Platform (NUP) top lawyer Samuel Muyizzi Mulindwa has warned party members who have petitioned court to recover their stolen victory and those petitioned against to be very aware that the process they are going to be subjected to is not going to be fair according to intelligence he has gathered.

Muyizzi, one of the experienced lawyers in election petition said that members of the Deep Stae have already generated a list of people who are going to be favoured and those who are going to be fought during the coming election petitions to share it with judicial officers who are going to preside over the trials.

“They have already allocated files to different judicial officers even before the petitions start because those judges also are in Acting capacity. I don’t think that they will stand on their ground to give justice because they are also human beings and they want to be retained and the only way to achieve that is through appeasing members of the Deep Stae,” Muyizzi said.

He insisted that he will not be shocked if some election petitions are handled in the same way that Masaka Chief Magistrate Albert Asiimwe handled Justine Nameere’s vote count application against NUP’s Rose Nalubowa.

Muyizzi didvulged that judicial officers are going to be deployed in specific courts where certain Deep State members have interest in who to be declared a winner.

He revealed that a number of judicial officers have already leaked the plan to him and other lawyers and asked them not to be shocked when such incidents similar to what happened in Masaka happen in other areas of the country.

This is after Masaka Catholic Bishop Serverus Jjumba warned Courts on forcing leaders on people who they didn’t vote for noting that Courts should be a place where justice and fairness is expected from.

Defeated Kamuswa county legislator Moses Kabusu revealed that in President Museveni’s government, there are powerful technocrats and political dealers who determine who remains in parliament and who should to be removed according to their interests.

NUP insiders told Ono Bwino that the reason why elected opposition legislators are silent on political activism and on criticizing Museveni and his people is because of the elections petitions scare where many were helped to be announced winners by Electoral Commission returning officers.

A number of NUP members have petitioned court challenging their defeat and among them is Gorret Namugga of Mawogola South, Allan Mayanja of Nakaseke Central, Fred Nyanzi of Kawempe South, David Lewis Rubongoya of Kampala Central among others.

Muyizzi boasted that his people have overwhelming evidence to prove that their victories were stolen at gun point but they are only scared of biased judicial officers.

Justice Jane Frances Abado, the Principal Judge pleaded with judicial officers to be fair and transparent when dealing with the coming election petition which are expected to start being heard in May 2026.
