The leadership of Buganda for Museveni, a political mobilization drive coordinated by Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka were very bitter with the actions of the Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja who toured Buganda region without their consent.
The group leadership resolved to take the matter to the President to guide Nabbanja on how to move around the country when assessing the performance of the government project noting that she must consult and involve party flag bearers in the coming general elections.
According to Robert Migadde the Buvuma island legislator, the political drive was initiated to help NRM and Museveni win Buganda in the coming elections and so far, they have covered almost 80% of the region by going on the ground with government officials, listen to people’s problems and providing solutions to them.
Because of the said agenda, Kiwanuka recently declared that all those who lost in the NRM primaries should back the winners. He warned those who will defy the proposal that the party leadership will act on them.

Apart from securing Museveni’s win in Buganda, sources said that the architect of the drive including the Minister of Energy and Mineral Development Ruth Nakabirwa want Buganda to reclaim its glory by occupying top government offices.
In the current Museveni cabinet, Baganda are only occupying cabinet ministers’ positions, other positions like vice president, speaker of parliament, Chief Justice, deputy speaker of parliament, deputy chief justice, governor Bank of Uganda are occupied by people from other parts of the country.
This website has established that one of the big offices they are targeting is the Office of the Prime Minister currently occupied by Nabbanja and they are proposing three names; Kiwanuka, Nakabirwa or Gen Edward Katumba Wamala the works and transport minister.
Sources close to Nabanja told this website that she is very aware of the development and it is the reason why she is exposing top NRM politicians in Buganda by showing that they are sleeping on their job by failing to publicise the government development projects in the region.
“They are waiting for money to mobilize the people on welcoming government projects, they are sleeping. By the way, a prime minister doesn’t need permission from someone to visit any part of the country because they are responsible for leading government business in parliament,” one of Nabanja’s handlers told this website.
On several occasions, Nabbanja has accused fellow government officials and politicians of fighting her because they were shocked with her appointment.
Nabbanja recently disclosed that people like Kira Municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda are paid to go on radios and abuse her as incompetent for the job.
This website has established from the corridors of power that other regions like Acholi sub-region also want their people to occupy Nabbanja’s job and they are fronting Justice and Constitutional Affairs minister Norbert Mao while Lango is fronting government Chief Whip Hamson Obua.
