In 2022, National Peasants Party (NPP) Presidential candidate Robert Kasibante was charged with offences including forgery and obtaining money by false pretense and was remanded to Luzira prison before being released on a court bail
The charges were linked to an alleged fake United States of America Visa scheme and this website is still investigating the status of the file.
Before joining singer Stecia Mayanja’s NPP, Kasibante contested as National Resistance Movement (NRM) 2025 parliamentary flag bearer for Busujju county and was defeated which has created a number of questions on his bid to contest for the country’s top office.

“Before Museveni went for nomination to contest as President, he first cleared everything from the management of the electoral process up to the ballot paper and it is very difficult for him to leave gaps for the competitor and the person who can defeat him at his game has to be very clever, in the calibre of Dr Kizza Besigye or Gen Mugisha Muntu because they understand him very well. Now, I’m very sure that Kasibante was brought on the presidential ballot paper to disorganise the arrangements of the candidates on the ballot paper. Museveni doesn’t want Bobi Wine (Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu) to be on the top of the ballot paper because he always makes sure he is at the bottom of the ballot paper. So, he had to hire someone to help him execute that job and that’s why we are seeing Kasibante in the race,” Ssemujju said.
According to Ssemujju’s journalistic eye, Kasibante shares the first name of Robert with Bobi Wine the National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, and their second name starts with letter K but since for Bobi Wine, the next letter is Y and for Kasibante it is A, this means that Kasibante will be first on the ballot above Bobi Wine.
Both Kasibante and Bobi Wine are Baganda from Buffalo clan and sources insist that this is a political calculation made by Museveni’s political handlers.
This website has establish that Kasibante is a close friend to former vice president Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and has been instrumental in helping him to run his Victory School of Beauty and Hospitality Management situated in Natete, Lubaga Division Kampala city.
However, when contacted, Kasibante asked Ugandans not to concentrate on his past because everyone has a past but instead join him and focus on the future.
Recently, jailed NUP deputy spokesperson Alex Waiswa Mufumbiro told this website that when Dr Besigye declared his interest to contest against Museveni in 2001, he alleged that he hired a one Abed Bwanika and awarded him the People’s Development Party (PDP) to contest on its flag as a presidential candidate.
Mufumbiro claimed that Museveni was very scared that Besigye was going to top the ballot paper because his name started with letter B.
Mufumbiro divulged that Bwanika was fished from Makerere university where he was teaching.
When Besigye contested against Museveni’s victory at the Supreme Court, Bwanika swore an affidavit supporting Museveni’s victory which was very instrumental when the justices were making their decision over the matter.
