Security at parliament was urgently called in to intervene and save the situation as ruthless Indian moneylender physically fought with indebted legislators over the alleged Shs100m bonanza that President Museveni gifted legislators.

Highly placed sources at parliament revealed to this investigative website that a number of legislators especially those from the opposition and independents were shocked to meet the ruthless moneylender with his two assistants seated inside the room where they were supposed to receive the said money from.

They first protested picking the money even though they were not supposed to sign. The person issuing the money was supposed to only tick the name of the person who received his or her share.

Several of the indebted MPs were bitter and made frantic phone calls upon arriving to pick their money and finding the Indian moneylender already in position with his people in the office where they were picking the money from.

Consultations were made and they agreed that the said Indian was not going to record them or take their pictures, but only wanted to get his money from a few legislators who have been playing hide and seek when it came to demanding them to return his money with interest.

“That Indian man is very clever, he put many of those staff in parliament on payroll and they are the ones who tipped him on legislators he is looking for. They were the ones who told him that legislators were going to pick money in cash from parliament and even advised him talk to parliament leadership to allow him get them before leaving the parliamentary building and he was allowed,” a source said.

The source added that the Indian man was in possession of five arrest warrants against legislators he was demanding more than Shs100m.

When those he was demanding reached the office, the Indian man asked the issuing officer to deduct his amount and when they threatened violence he also threatened to arrest them, especially those whose warrants he already had.

“There were two who physically fought with the Indian man because he took all the amount even after they tried to convince him to at least leave them with something. Security had to be called in to save the situation. On a sad note, these legislators left empty handed,” a source said.

He explained that many public servants especially those working at parliament and the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development are not happy directives to give billions of money to legislators yet for them, who are highly educated than some legislators are being paid very little.

They even allege that many of the legislations these MPs make are against the development of the common person they claim to represent in parliament noting that it is the reason why they leaked the information on legislators receiving money to the public to expose them.

This website has established that a number of legislators are heavily indebted and have started selling their properties to finance their 2026 road to parliament especially during the party primaries.

Even though some legislators especially those in the opposition are denying that they received the Shs100m, Lydia Wanyoto the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) member  confirmed that she was in the meeting where Museveni agreed to give each legislator Shs100m and also in the attendance was the parliament leadership.
