The leadership of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) are in the final stages of organizing a countrywide protest against the alleged uncontrolled corruption in parliament.

Since Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba the chairperson of PLU declared a protest against Parliament on his X handle, his henchmen have been using different social media platforms to mobilize the masses to join the four star General’s walk to Parliament.

“The demonstration will be on the 10th February! All power belongs to Almighty God! God dwells among our people. Let us teach them what people power means! God bless Uganda!” Muhoozi posted on his X handle before it was deleted.

This was after parliament’s committee on defence dismissed and declined to entertain Ministry of Defence leadership who were in parliament to defend their ministerial budget for the coming financial year.

Legislators insisted that they will only entertain the officials if they are accompanied by Gen Muhoozi who is the Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF.

The defence committee argued that they want the CDF to answer questions concerning what he posted on his X handle alleging that his posts were becoming a threat to the country’s security and diplomacy.

In response through his X handle, the controversial general confirmed to the legislators that he cannot appear before them and even threatened to arrest them if they failed to pass their budget.

Sources close to Gen Muhoozi revealed that the maverick general has no respect for the legislators and the entire parliament which he views as filled with corrupt individuals and he has a big plan to root out this vice and the culprits.

The sources add that Gen. Muhoozi views parliament as one of the most corrupt institutions in the country and government can no longer afford to look on as this rot continues.

To prove his disgust against parliament, Gen Muhoozi further through his X warned that he is going to make sure that the Homosexuality law passed in parliament in the full support of Annet Anita Among is deleted in the law books of Uganda claiming that it is costly to Ugandans, a statement which sources claim the flamboyant general was sending a message to Among that she has failed to run the parliament.

Muhoozi’s statements come at a time when some Members of Parliament are battling with corruption charges in courts of law while others are under investigation.

“When I see Museveni allowing the arrest of Cissy Namujju, the Lwengo district woman Member of Parliament, I knew that Museveni is not the one controlling the ongoing operation to fight corruption. Because I remember one time we got into a misunderstanding over a matter concerning President Museveni’s directive, I was surprised to see Namujju pullout her phone from the bank and directly call the president who picked and our argument was settled on that day.  The last people who did what Namujju did were; Aidah Nantaba the former Lands minister, late Keith Muhakanizi and Winnie Byanyima,” one of the seasoned opposition politicians told this website when we were investigating this story.

MUHOOZI WILL BE BIG PLAYER IN WHO WINS IN 2026 ELECTION: Robert Mayanja a seasoned political activist and also a close friend to Dr. Kizza Besigye and a member of the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) revealed to this website that Muhoozi is going to influence who wins the 2026 political offices because of his position in security.

He added that Gen Edward Kale Kayihura influenced many politicians’ win including those in the opposition because he was the top coordinator of security during the 2011 and 2016 general election the position Muhoozi holds now.

He added that if Muhoozi has a plan to change parliament leadership and he will use the influence he has to make sure that he gets the numbers that will influence decision making in parliament including choosing who the next Speaker and deputy will be.

Sources warn that it is going to be very difficult for Among to retain her office even though she recently boasted that she is still has plans to be at the helm of parliament for 20 years.

She even recently advised those who have plans to take her seat to look for other things beneficial to do.

She assured the country that she fought for that position and she cannot just look on as other people evict her.

However, sources insist that Among’s name has been tainted by allegations of corruption and violation of human rights which have placed Museveni’s government locally and internationally in bad light and to clean this image, he plans to dump her come 2026 and assign her with another political office.

“Look, Uganda is a member of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) but the Speaker cannot have audience with King Charles the boss of all the member countries because of the sanctions. She cannot travel to the United States of America to attend international meetings. Now how is she helping him! Locally, Museveni can solve the opposition problem even without Among,” a source inside State House said.

OBOTH OBTH AND MAO FAVOURITES: However, this website has established that there is a sharp misunderstanding on who will replace Among because Gen Muhoozi is fronting his blue eyed boy and also the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs Jacob Oboth Oboth but his uncle Gen Salim Saleh who is also an influential decision maker in state affairs wants to front the Justice and Constitutional Affairs minister Nobert Mao.

Highly placed sources close to Mao said that he is silently mobilizing support to stand for Laroo-Pece constituency come 2026 which will pave way for his political ambition of heading the Legislature which is second arm of government,

Sources said that to show that he is close to the deep state, Mao accepted the decision by Gen Saleh’s friends to chair the committee that organized for him a birthday party in Gulu last month where he praised him and placed him in the hands of God.

“Prime Minister Nabbanja always feels safe when she travels abroad with Mao, you know he has that skill which gives Nabbanja confidence when engaging Diplomats. The president knows that well and always makes sure that Mao travels with Nabbanja and he is the one who writes the documents which guide them. I think the big man is preparing something big for Mao,” a highly placed source in the State House said.

The source added that the people of Acholi are also mobilizing support for Mao because he is going to be their only light in the coming government since the Chief Justice Owiny Dollo is retiring in early 2026 after clocking the 70.

Sources said that opinion leaders in Acholi, Lango and West Nile are in talks over the coming elections and have already started shortlisting persons who will contest on which position.

Their main target is to reclaim parliamentary speakership seat which was taken by  Among who hails from Teso after the death of Jacob Oulanyah who occupied the office for only two years.

Sources added that Mao is currently trying to compromise Gen. Muhoozi and he recently predicted that his PLU is going to perform well in the 2026 general elections.

MAO IS PLAYING GEN. MUHOOZI’S CARDS – KIVUMBI: Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi the Butambala county legislator revealed that whatever Mao is doing, he is making sure that it is in the interest of Gen Muhoozi and it is the reason why he is proposing a law that the President should be elected in parliament.

Kivumbi explains that Mao knows very well that it will be easy for parliament to be compromised for Gen. Muhoozi to become president to succeed his father and Mao is assigned that job.

However, when contacted, Robert Mwesigwa, personal assistant to Mao denied all the allegations insisting that his boss is not going to stand for any parliamentary seat because his eyes are set on capturing the highest office in the country.

“Democratic Party is going to hold a Delegates Conference this year, and Mao is again going to contest as president of the party and if elected, he will automatically be the party presidential candidate come 2026 presidential elections,” Mwesigwa said.

He Added that the political agreement signed with president Museveni will end in 2026 and it cannot be used to stop Mao from standing against him.

This website has established that speaker Among is following all the political movements and plans against her and in 2024, she summoned Mao to her office and accused him of betraying her and accepting to be used to fight her yet for a long time she has been looking at him as her brother from another mother in Lango.

Sources said that in the meeting, Mao denied all the allegations insisting that he is planning to stand for presidency not as Member of Parliament.

Oboth Oboth on the other hand is also mobilising clandestinely both on the ground and at the national level.

He recently organized a thanks giving ceremony and invited Gen Muhoozi as a chief guest.

During the ceremony, Muhoozi praised him for being a good cadre, workaholic leader and thanked him for being cooperative.

Sources said that every weekend, Oboth Oboth travels to his constituency in West Budama County South and to hold private meetings with opinion leaders and religious leaders to support his political dream and make sure that they compromise his opponents so that he goes through unopposed.

After the death of Oulanyah, sources said that Museveni supported Oboth Oboth to replace him but Speaker Among had overwhelming support in the NRM parliamentary caucus and the party’s top organ the Central Executive Committee (CEC) who all endorsed her.

Sources said that Museveni tried to compromise the legislators to endorse Oboth Oboth but he failed.

Sources said that even though Among, as a good cadre has greatly helped Museveni to weaken opposition in parliament, she has created for him a diplomatic crisis which is threatening his stay in power and he wants a person who can solve that problem urgently.

AMONG FIGHTING ON: Among is also on the ground and wants to come back to parliament unopposed as Bukedea district woman Member of Parliament as she did in the 2021 elections.

However, sources said that Among’s roots in the office of the presidency and in security which she has been building to consolidate her power and influence have been dismantled intentionally and she no longer has power on Resident District Commissioners, District Internal Security Organisation and District Police Commanders which is likely going to affect her political plans come 2026 general elections.

The ongoing fights in Teso region among top government officials over influence in the area is also going to affect Among even though Mukula is trying to mediate them to stop the fight.
