Maverick Kira Municipality legislator Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda has placed his managers and supporters on standby claiming that National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters are planning to pulldown all his campaign posters hiding under the guise of President Yoweri Museveni’s visit to his constituency.
He claims that meetings have been held in different parts of Kira and a one Daniel Kananura has been suggesting that Ssemujju’s campaign posters should be pulled down alleging that the President will get angry upon seeing posters of a person who is always abusing him in media everywhere and it will make him think that he is very powerful and popular.
“Because we have spent a lot of money on those posters, some of my agents were proposing that we first remove them. They were scared that they are going to be damaged which will send us into a huge financial loss. But I stood my ground and told them to leave the posters. I also instructed them to be on alert and take pictures of those who will damage our posters,” Ssemujju said.
Ssemujju’s posters have painted entire Kira Municipality blue which has made voters to wonder where an opposition legislator is getting all the money he is spending on campaign posters yet when ask him for help he sends them to Museveni and tells them that he is the one with his and their monies.

According to State House sources, Museveni is expected to spend two days in Kira Municipality while inspecting the performance of the Parish Development Model (PDM) initiative brought by his government to fight poverty.
Museveni is also expected to hold a political rally in Kasokoso and Bukasa, the political strong of Ssemujju and he will declare a political mobilization drive aimed at forcing Ssemujju out of parliament.
