Defeated Kawempe North National Residence Movement (NRM) candidate Hajjat Hanifah Karadi and a number of Resident District Commissioners and their deputies are going to be probed concerning allegations of leaking Hajjat Faridah Nambi’s secrets to National Unity Platform (NUP) camp during the just concluded Kawempe North by election.

In his communication, after the controversial by elections, President Museveni who also doubles as the NRM national chairperson revealed that investigations will be made to establish why the election was violent which resulted into the defeat of his party official candidate Nambi a daughter to his longtime friend Al-Hajji Moses Kigongo.

Highly placed sources in the country’s top intelligence agency have intimated to this website that Museveni established a special committee to investigate the cause of violence in Kawempe and asked for a report within a period of not less than three weeks.

Sources disclosed that Museveni wants to use the committee’s findings to help his establish that the mistakes made in Kawempe by elections do not happen again during the general 2026 elections.

Because of the ongoing investigations, there is fear too much at the NRM secretariat and top bosses are scared that they may lose their juicy jobs before they reach the big harvesting period in 2026.

“It is true, the President received a number of concerns from diplomatic friends and other serious people asking him to take action against those involved in Kawempe violence so that people do not fear to participate in the preparation of the 2026 general elections thinking that it will be violent just as opposition leaders are currently going around telling the public,” a State House source told this website.

He added that even though the president ordered the secretariat to release billions of shillings to help their candidate in Kawempe, preliminary investigations show that the money was mismanaged and shared among top bosses leaving Nambi to financially struggle during her campaigns.

Sources further added that Museveni wants to assure members of his party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) who have started worrying that their chairperson might not be in control of the country that is why the forces fighting in the Deep State decided to exhibit their might and powers.

He wants to send them a message that he is in control not them.

“It is also personal, the president wants to show his friend Kigongo that he has taken action against people who denied his daughter a political victory, and what I can assure you is that people at the secretariat, in security and in other government political circles are going cry,” a source said.

Sources allege that a one Maj Emma was assigned to lead Nambi’s clandestine campaign to win the race and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja and Kampala Minister Hajjat Minsa Kabanda were supposed to pull crowds to help Emma’s team.

This investigative website has established that as Maj Emma and other NRM mobilizers were planning their victory at all costs, a bitter Karadi was also on top of her game and very determined to make sure that Nambi didn’t take the day insisting that the party ticket was fraudulently given to her.

“Other aspirants on the party ticket accepted the offer given to them and left Nambi to carry the day but Karandi refused even though efforts were made to compromise her to leave the race where she contested as an independent. But the investigations show that she is a supporter of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) and we think that’s the reason she refused to listen to NRM’s top leaders including Dr Tanga Odoi the party electoral commission chairperson and Rosemary Sseninde the party’s Director for mobilization and Cadre recruitment,” a source said.

However, Karadi insists that Nambi was given a ticket without following the due process because Tanga was given orders on the phone at night in the meeting where they were discussing who to give the party ticket.

Sources said that intelligence warned NRM bosses to talk to Karadi because she was likely to frustrate their plans because she was already telling media how Maj Emma was planning to kidnap her and her campaigning managers.

They were also surprised to see Dr Tanga only threatening her to leave the race alleging that she is not a voter in Kawempe but was born in Mbarara which annoyed her god fathers and they directed her not to leave the race according to highly placed sources which are closely following the ongoing investigations.

The source added that the investigators are closely following allegations that Karadi was in contact with Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) the NUP’s principal and was leaking Maj Emma’s secrets to him and it was the reason why NUP top leadership including the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi, David Lewis Rubongoya the party’s Secretary General and the party’s candidate himself Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola stormed a certain house in Nameere over accusations that electoral multi practices of ticking ballots to be used in stealing votes were taking place.

“Information is available showing the reason why security deployed Mambas and other commandos at Kawempe Mbogo play ground was because intelligence had already informed security that Bobi Wine has also deployed his foot soldiers to the same place to fight Maj Emma’s boys who wanted to pour their already ticked ballots in the boxes,” the source said.

Sources added that Karadi being a former RDC, used her contacts among the current area RDCs and their deputies deployed in Kawempe to fight Nambi and to leak their plans so that Nambi is defeated.

Nambi still insists that her defeat was as result of violence that was unleashed on the voters of Kawempe North.

She says that she has already collected enough evidence which can help her to fight for her win in the Courts of law.

As NRM party bosses are collecting evidence, NUP and Nalukoola are also packaging their defence and they are already in touch with the aggrieved Nambi agents and campaigning managers who are bitter that they were not paid the money they were promised and is on this note that they are ready to testify against her if she proceeds to Court.
