In the last Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Council special meeting, controversial National Unity Platform (NUP) councilor Faridah Nakabugo assured Lord mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago that there is nothing he is going to do to stop Businessman Hamis Kiggundu from building atop Nakivubo drainage channel

As Lukwago was shouting on top of his voice wondering why the city council meeting summoned by KCCA Speaker Zaharah Luyirika didn’t accommodate and support his recommendation to have the controversial businessman arrested and prosecuted on charges related to illegally developing the drainage channel, a furious Nakabugo, the Lubaga Division woman representative shouted at him saying, “stupid, go and imprison your family members. Don’t you have criminals in your family? Go and imprison those. Lukwago, you have a bad heart but this time you will be exposed.”

She threatened to also expose Lukwago including revealing where he got the money he used to build his multibillion mansion on Mutundwe hill.

“In the next sitting of the council, we shall come dressed in t-shirts with photos of where you get all the money you have,” Nakabugo added.

He assured him that he is in his last term boasting that with Bobi Wine’s wave, they will make sure that NUP takes over the Lord mayor’s office at all costs including using Whitcraft.

As Nakabugo was attacking Lukwago, other councilors accused her boyfriend Moses Katabu who had excused himself for minutes of running into hiding after learning that he was going to be exposed because he was in the middle of deal to convince fellow councilors not to oppose the drainage development as Lukwago was telling them.

Kampala Minister Hajjat Minsa Kabanda recently revealed that while he was consulting on how to guide President Museveni on Nakivubo channel development, he found Katabu and Kiggundu in a private meeting and Katabu praised him for having a brilliant idea of developing the channel.

David Lewis Rubongoya the NUP Secretary General confirmed that there were mistakes made by his party in the heat of giving away the drainage channel but insisted that the big problem was Museveni who put it in writing allowing the businessman to build on top of the channel.
